About OPA Dental Labs
OPA Dental Laboratory, Inc. is a small lab committed to producing the highest quality dental appliances in the United States. We specialize in Ortho and Pedo dental appliances including removable retainers, fixed retainers, space maintainers, partials RPE's, TMJ Splints and other dental appliance products. We have a staff of 6 averaging 15 years with the company. Our group of technicians is led by founder and owner Elaine Kassouf who studied and worked as Dental Assistant for 12 years with one of Birmingham's best Orthodontists. Prior to opening OPA Dental in 1980, Elaine trained and studied extensively with local Orthodontists and Pedodontists, University Professors and international doctors. Elaine has been in dentistry since 1968 and has been personally hand crafting dental appliances for over 33 years. After many years of being a dental assistant and training as a lab technician under one of the best in the industry at fabricating Crozat appliances, Elaine found her passion in bending wire and building dental appliances. Having found her love and natural skill, Elaine made a personal commitment of becoming one of the best in the industry and in 1980, started OPA Dental Laboratories, Inc. Over the years, as her staff grew, each employee came to share the same dedication and love of the art of building dental appliances. At OPA, you can rest assured that your appliances will be built by experts who are truly passionate about their work. Even though Elaine does not work directly with patients, she is always aware of results and nothing brings more satisfaction than knowing that her work improves the lives of children and adult patients and makes a difference in their daily lives. Elaine truly cares about people. Throughout the years, she has personally donated time and product to children with cleft palate or in need of financial assistance.With over 45 years in the dental industry, we have become expert
craftsmen at what we do. Our staff is led by our Office Manager,
Christy, who has been with OPA for 30 years and knows what it takes to
get things done. All of our employees are as passionate as I am and all
have a combined average of over 15 years with the company. When you
use OPA, you can be assured you are getting some of the best
craftsmen in the industry producing appliances for you with great care
and pride in their work.
A message from owner, Elaine Kassouf:
At OPA, we strive for perfection. My first goal is making an appliance that snaps into place. I have always been a perfectionist and in this business, every single appliance we make must be perfect and fit perfectly in patients mouths in order to have the least amount of discomfortas the appliance does what it is designed to do.
What do I enjoy the most about what I do? Simply put, I
love bending wire to produce perfect dental appliances. I
enjoy the satisfaction I get when I produce an appliance
that turns out exactly the way it should. Knowing it will
make a difference in a patient’s life.
